2024 Jeep Gladiator Interior, Colors, Dashboard – Only two years ago, Jeep made its long-awaited entry into the American pickup truck market. As soon as you hear the word “Jeep Gladiator,” your mind instantly goes to pictures of sliding down gravel curves, squirming through a marshy marsh, and leaping over dune after dune. A better-behaved version of Russell Crowe for trucks.
Fans of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler will recognize it as a pickup version of the beloved SUV, although it uses Ram 1500 mechanical components instead of the Wranglers. Despite this, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, and Chevrolet Colorado are among its competitors in the midsize truck sector. The Gladiator is only available with four-wheel drive, but Jeep now sells the vehicle with a 260-hp 3.0-liter diesel V6 from the Ram 1500 that produces 442 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Jeep Gladiator Redesign
For the 2024 Jeep Wrangler, the new 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine and a flurry of unique models were introduced last year, and this year is all about consolidation. In essence, it’s a carryover model with no new features, but Jeep is known to release unique versions at any moment so that we could see a few by the end of the calendar year… To further enhance the Gladiator’s sense of open-air Freedom, Jeep Performance Parts is now offering half doors with a choice of upper door assemblies as part of the Dual Door Group option.
For the time being, focus on the seven-slot grille, circular headlights, square taillights, and the ability to detach the doors and the roof. No other pickup truck can do that, yet the Jeep Gladiator pickup truck is only available in crew cab form, unlike many other models. Despite this, you will feel like a hero when the opportunity presents itself.
The Gladiator’s flat dashboard has a touchscreen display and all of the vehicle’s functions, reminiscent of the Wrangler’s dashboard. Because the roof and doors can be removed, the inside has a few elements that aren’t often found in a car. Examples include a water-resistant start button and drainage holes. There’s lots of room, and using the Uconnect system is simple.
In fact, the design of the entire interior is as simple as it gets. The buttons are arranged in a logical manner, even when the automobile is tilting at 38 degrees on a side slope. Between the various levels of specifications, there’s a huge gap. For example, the Sport’s manual windows and mirrors are included in the basic model. Many higher-end models include conveniences like dual-zone temperature control.
There is low-down torque in both engine of the Gladiator. The base transmission is a six-speed manual with an eight-speed automatic option for an additional $2,000 on the sticker price. The gas V6 has 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm, but it loses steam at higher speeds. We think the eight-speed automatic transmission is a better alternative than the manual for Jeep’s diehard off-roaders.
In terms of power, the new turbocharged diesel has a lot going for it. We’re more intrigued in the Jeep’s 442 lb-ft of torque, which is accessible from 1,400 rpm, than the 260 horsepower claimed by Jeep. However, the powerband is quite limited. Between 1,400 and 2,800 rpm, it generates all of that torque, and at 4,600 rpm, it hits its redline. Thanks to the eight-speed automatic’s wide range of ratios, you can get the most out of the engine’s potential. In first gear, the gap is 4.71, while in eighth, it is just 0.67. The diesel’s low gearing makes overtaking at greater speeds a breeze.
